The secretary General of the Afro-Arab Youth Council, Dr. Awad Hassan Ibrahim, announced for the beginning of the second version of the prize Afrabia for Arab and African youth. He said that on Saturday in the peace Rotana Hotel news conference, that the prize is an initiative of the Council to consolidate the Arab and African space and encourage young creative and motivating them and exchange experiences, cultures and contributing to sustainable development. And pointed out that the prize aims to counter extremism and fanaticism, terrorism and bridge the gap of differences, pointing out that the evaluation of the previous version came out a number of recommendations in the forefront of raising the value of the prize to three thousand dollars and be in one field (literature and the arts) and attract partners for the prize. And revealed that the application of the prize will be electronically through a special site and in three languages, Arabic, English and French. On the other hand, Arab-African Cultural Institute director Dr. Sufi Mohammed Salem said that the prize will be the anti-globalization secretions and fight the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism. On the other hand, AU Ambassador Dr. Salah Hammad political department director and an expert on human rights confirmed that EU support for the activities of young people as hope for the future of the continent, declaring that African leaders agreed that the next decimal will be special for human rights pointing out that next year, will be the Year of Youth in Africa, hoping that the third version of the prize got more support from the African Union. The Ambassador Abdel Moneim Mabrouk Alshaery the director of the youth department at the Arab League said that the prize serves as a protective shield to address the most serious pests of the modern era to undermine our youth.
